Maggy — Charity Typeface

From Maggy to Maggie's: A Charity Typeface

Maggy is a charity typeface encouraging creatives to type for a cause. The Northern Block has committed to donating all proceeds from the sale of this typeface to cancer charity Maggie’s in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Maggy is a versatile and captivating display typeface, sparked by our participation in the annual ‘36 Days of Type’ event. What started as an exciting 36-day challenge has flourished into a remarkable typeface designed with purpose. Maggy represents a fusion of creativity and compassion—it’s more than a collection of characters; it’s a tribute to the unconventional, an arena for experimental design, and a testament to using typography for positive impact.

The font includes one display style and over 310 glyphs. OpenType features include proportional and tabular figures, six stylistic sets, and language support covering Western, Southern, and Central Europe.
